Who We Are

We are a non-denominational congregation that loves the Lord, each other, our community, and the community at large. We are Christians only, but we are not the only Christians. Our minister is involved in an ecumenical minister's group known as the Scott Area Ministerial Association. This association is known for good works throughout Scott County Indiana. The ministry needs provided by this group include close work with: the Scott County Community Clearinghouse, Ecumenical Services for holiday events, Chaplaincy to Scott Memorial Hospital, the National Day of Prayer, and many others. We also share holiday services with our neighbors at Lexington Presbyterian Church.

Our goal is to serve those who love Christ and those in need of Christ. Our desire is for everyone to be or become a child of the Kingdom of God. Our efforts are concentrated in achieving our goal and our desire. We would love to have you join us in this Great Commission.

Our Service times are as follows:

Sunday School 9 a.m.
Sunday Worship Service 10 a.m.
Men's Prayer Meeting and Bible Study 1st & 3rd Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m.
Woman's Prayer Meeting and Bible Study 2nd & 4th Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m.

In brief, you should know the following about us: our church was established in 1839 and is the oldest Christian church still extant in Scott County Indiana. Remodeling and updates have occurred all along including: Sanctuary remodel in 1947, 1952 hardwood flooring was added along with new oak pews and furniture, and a fellowship hall was added in 1977. Our congregation particularly value our blended music style and biblically based teaching. Our church is located at 2604 S Alexander St. in Lexington, IN.
